Rudy our Cava tzu is the most well rounded dog. He loves everyone he comes in contact with. He past K-9 Kindergarten with flying colors. He is now enrolled in Canine Good Citizenship classes to become a therapy dog. He's at the top of the class. The trainer said the combination of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Shih Tzu (Cava Tzu) makes for a wonderful therapy dog. Our vet said the combination of the two breeds also makes better teeth alignment. He lost all his puppy teeth and has good strong set of second teeth. He would rather cuddle than eat, and loves to play with other dogs and cats. He lives with two Ragdoll cats who tolerate him. We are so glad you introduced us to this combo

We thought you would like to see how our Cava-tzu has grown! Sammy has been with us since April 2010 and is almost 10 months old. He is a spunky fellow who enjoys walks, rides and chasing anything that moves! He socializes well with everyone as well as other dogs. Sammy has trained well and has good recall. He loves to cuddle, especially in the morning. He is a very special addition to our family!

I wanted to update you on the "baby" of our family. With three young children under age 8 we were not convinced getting a small puppy was a great idea....until we met her. We fell in love instantly and can honestly say that we fall in love more everyday. Mia is about a year and a half and is an absolute dream. With no formal puppy training she listens better than any trained dog that I have ever seen. She truly is every positive quality in both of those breeds. There was never any biting, chewing on furniture,she was "potty" trained almost instantly and she truly just wants to please and be loved. The kids are great with her and she just adores them too....I have never seen such an obedient and loving personality in a puppy. Everyday we say we cannot believe how lucky we are. We have had other puppies before who went through rounds of puppy training and cant hold a candle to her! I will say she did shed for almost a full year (maybe it was the puppy hair?) For her first birthday as we were entering the summer we gave her a close shave...after that nothing! She is back to her beautiful fluffy puppy cut and looks great and there is minimal to no shedding. She is amazing and we are so in love...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

I purchased Sadie (Cava-tzu) in February of 2010 when she was 3 months old and she is now 1 1/2 years old.
I named her Sadie, which means "princess" and she is
treated as such by me. I ADORE HER!!!!
She is playful (LOVES her numerous toys); cuddly, calm and good-natured. Sadie didn't bark for the longest time but will occasionally give out a protective bark. However, when she sees any animal on the television screen she runs for it and starts to bark. She is a great traveler in the car and loves to go along. Also, I take her to a reputable doggie day care facility (for small dogs only) at times and she is extremely well-liked by the proprietors and LOVES to play with other dogs. When I take her to my sister's home, who has a Havernese; English Lab and a Golden Retriever - Sadie is right at home and is like the energizer bunny. Sadie has fallen in love with my elderly mother, niece and sister - all of whom love her back. MANY THANKS for producing Sadie! She's enriched my life and brings me joy on a daily basis.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm so glad I picked the Cava Tzu breed. We brought Libby home this past April. She's about 5 mos old now & it seems as though everything we do revolves around Libby. She has completed puppy training & will be continuing to intermediate & tricks training. Brendan, the trainer says she's really a neat dog, very smart. He shows her new things 3X & she gets it! I was sure I was expecting too much from my puppy, but she has lived up to all expectations & then some. She's the star of my mom's nursing home & my Granddaughter's pride & joy, as well as being good therapy for my sister who has been experiencing a mild form of dementia. My husband & I love playing with her & taking her to the dog park in Bethlehem. She has become our entertainment, we're constantly engaged in playing, training, snuggling etc.. Almost forgot to say that she loves her kitties & my other sister's big dogs too. She was weighed at 9.6 lbs 2 days ago, so I guess she will be right around the 12 lbs that her parents were.
