We couldn't be more pleased with our doxie-chon Dottie.
She has a nice combination of Bichon characteristics as well as
Dachshund traits. Dottie is very smart and affectionate,
but a very good watchdog and hunter. Twice now
she caught the Woodchuck that was invading our yard. She
had no fear of it. She waits for all of us to come home from work,
and looks forward to her nightly walks to visit with our neighbor's
dog Bailey the Schnauzer. She knows commands and goes
in her crate when we tell her to do so. We have two
Grandchildren ages 3 and 1 year old who sometimes
play a little rough with her but she is very loving to both of them.
She gets excited and expresses herself when she sees
people she knows especially Joanne the groomer.
She will sleep where ever she wants to,
but finds her way to the foot of our bed and lets us
know when its time to get up. I would highly
recommend a Doxie-Chon like Dottie. She brightens up
even the gloomiest day with her loving personality.

Doxie chon we purchased just about two years ago. Her name is Sophie and today is her 2nd birthday!!! She is the most loving dog I have ever known. We love having her and she is a great companion to our son!! My parents purchased a shichon about 6 months before sophie and they couldn't be happier either. We just wanted to share some updated pictures with you. We bought our Doxie Chon, Mario, in August 2009. He is such a beautiful dog and has such a great disposition. He is the center of our family. He only barks when someone rings the doorbell or when 'running the fence' with the neighbor's dog. He is just so easy-going and loving. Don't get me wrong - he has his devilish moments when he wants to rough house or eat one of his 'sister's' stuffed animals - but all-in-all he is just a constant joy in our family. Not a day goes by that at least one of us doesn't say, 'I love Mario!' We are so glad we found you and are constantly working on dad for a little brother for Mario - one of these days!
